TEST METHOD
Magnetic Induction Measurement Procedure
The measurement is performed using a standard gauss meter at the point with the highest design magnetic induction - in the position of the pole pieces, or in the lowest point of the magnetic circuit. The test is repeated 3 times in different locations of the magnetic circuit; then the average magnetic induction is calculated.
Tearing force measurement procedure
This force is measured using a polished steel measurement standard with a diameter of 10 mm and a height of 20 mm. The measurement is performed at the point with the highest design magnetic induction - in the position of the pole pieces, or in the lowest point of the magnetic circuit. The force at which the standard is separated is recorded. The test is repeated 3 times and then the average tearing force is calculated.
For your information, this value is 10 N = approx. 1 kg.
The resulting tearing force depends on a range of factors, e.g. on the dimensions of the measurement standard, the air gap between the standard and the tested magnetic circuit, the measurement standard's surface finish, etc.
